Amin H. Nasser is president and CEO of the Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Saudi Aramco).
Additionally, he also sits on the board of Directors. Nasser served as senior VP of Upstream at Saudi Aramco since 2008, encompassing responsibilities including exploration, engineering, production, and petroleum processing.
Nasser started working for the Saudi Arabian Oil Company in 1982, after graduating with a bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM). For the 10 years which followed his graduation, he took on different technical and operational assignments for Saudi Aramco. Between March 1991 and May 1997, Nasser filled several managerial positions within the Engineering and Producing departments.
Nasser is an active advocate of social, educational and technological advancement. He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), and has been serving on its Industry Advisory Council for nearly ten years (as of 2016).
In 2015, he was awarded by the SPE for his achievements in mining, metallurgy and petroleum.
